Today, in this article, I will teach you an easy, quick recipe for how to make pasta with béchamel. It's kind of hard, but focus with me and you will manage to do it easily. Without wasting time, let's start with the ingredients.
Ingredients needed:
Onion, Garlic, Olive oil, Butter, Flour, Milk, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Ginger, Paprika, Parsley, Dill, Ground beef, Tomato, Salt, Black pepper, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Tomato paste, Penne pasta, Carrot, Pepper (green, yellow, and red), Green olive
Let's start the recipe:
Bring one whole onion, wash it well, then chop it carefully. On medium heat, put a frying pan, add 2 tsp of olive oil, then pour the chopped onions. Stir for a while until pale, then mince three cloves of garlic. Add 500g of ground meat, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, salt, ½ tsp cinnamon, and 1/8 tsp nutmeg. Mix very well.
Bring three tomatoes and ginger, wash them well, then cut into four pieces. In a blender, put the tomatoes, ginger, and ¼ cup of water. Blend well and add it to the meat. Mix very well, then cover until the water dries.
In a bowl, wash your fresh pepper and carrot carefully, then cut into small squares. Add them to the meat after the water dries. Stir well until it's pale, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
In a big pan, pour 3 cups of water, then add 3 tsp of olive oil and ½ tsp salt. On medium heat, bring to a boil, then pour in the penne and let it cook for 10–14 minutes. Drain and, while draining, add some cold water to avoid sticking. Set aside.
To prepare the béchamel, in a pan on medium heat, add 5 tsp of butter. Before it melts completely, pour in 5 tsp of flour and mix well until combined. Slowly add 4 cups of milk while mixing. When done with the milk, add some salt, ½ tsp black pepper, and ½ tsp nutmeg.
Add 6 tsp of the sauce to the penne, then pour in a mixture of minced mozzarella and cheddar. Mix very well.
In a wide, square oven glass dish, start by pouring some of the béchamel sauce and spreading it well. Then, add the penne evenly. After that, pour the meat on top of the penne (don’t forget we want to make layers of everything, and it needs to look good at the end). On top of the meat, sprinkle some mozzarella to cover it. Then repeat the same process: penne, béchamel sauce, meat, and lastly some mozzarella. Bake for 40 minutes.
For the dressing, wash parsley and dill, then chop them finely and sprinkle on top with some green olives after 30 minutes of baking. Return it to the oven to finish baking.
